Our neighbors and the Big Family Party

On Saturday afternoon, we helped our neighbors with the garden to clear up and render nice for Sunday family celebrations, so yesterday, we were invited to spent most of our day with them and their family. Fortunately, most of the day was warm and sunny, and we could enjoy eating outside in the garden.

They prepared very tasted dishes, all home-made, even the sweets! The menu: Coleslaw and Mediterranean salad, a Roasted Chicken, liver pate, cheese cake with mayonnaise, some crudities, roasted new potatoes and a good assortment of breads. For sweets they have home-made meringue, strawberries with cream, chocolate biscuits and small cupcakes. Good chefs :) Also one of the ladies, who work in the wine industry, brought to our palates a great variety of red and wine new aromas.

We did really enjoy the day. Getting in knowing more about each other and the great company. We all feel so lucky in having such a good neighbors (both sides ;-)

And as I asked about the differences of normal tea and cream tea... they have offered us the taste of one "Home-made Cream Tea" by mid September, which I am very much looking forward. mmm Yamiii!

Este sábado estuvimos ayudando a nuestros vecinos a arreglar el jardín, porque el Domingo su familia venían a visitarles y a celebrar varios cumpleaños, así que ayer, estuvimos casi todo el día con ellos y su familia. Afortunadamente, tuvimos unas horas de sol y la temperatura agradable, con lo que pudimos disfrutar del jardín.

Prepararon una deliciosa comida, que dispusieron en una mesa y cada uno se servía lo que le apetecía. El menú, casi todo hecho en casa era: Dos ensaladas, de Col y Meditarránea, un pollo asado, paté, pastel de queso y mayonesa, algunas verduras frescas, patatas baby asadas, y una gran variedad de panes. En cuanto a los dulces, habían merengues, fresas con nata, pastas de chocolate y mini-madalenas. La verdad es que todo estaba riquísimo :) También nuestros paladares pudieron disfrutar de una gran variedad de vinos, tintos y blancos.

Realmente, disfrutamos de un día muy agradable y somos afortunados de tener unos vecinos tan agradables (por las dos partes ;-)

En una de las conversaciones, pregunté cuál es la diferencia entre el té normal y el "cream tea"... y sus caras! jajaja me lo dijeron todo... Su madre nos ha ofrecido / invitado a degustar un "cream Tea" a mediados de Septiembre y tengo que decir, que me encanta la idea! mmm Yamiii!
