Best wishes for a great 2012

Today it is a great day, sunshine, cold winter day. I did help Mark with some digging in the allotment in the morning and some rest now at home. Just organizing some photos, agenda and being tranquil.
I want to share a video that came along today and it is a beauty to enjoy and welcome this 2012!
Blessings to all of you x x x

Spanish Potatoes :-)

A couple of weekends ago, after some digging and preparation of the soil of our new allotment, Les, a super green-fingers man, gave us a bag full of nice potatoes from his harvest this year. These taste oh-my-god, sooo good!

Since I do love Potatoes... yesterday, looking for some inspiration I found this recipe from Sarah_Jayne which she picked from BBC Good Food Magazine. I have slightly modified and it is so easy, anyone can cook it! Bon Apetit!

Ingredients
2 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
28oz (0.8kg) potatoes, cut into small chunks
3 garlic cloves
1/2 lemon juice
1/2 cup flat leaf parsley, roughly chopped

Directions
1. Pre-heat the oven/grill 200 degrees.
2. Peel the potatoes and cut them in small chunks
3. You can boil them (but I use the microwave instead). Cook them until they are tender but not too much. For me is around 4-5 min.
4. In a bowl mix the oil, paprika, tomato paste and the garlic finely chopped.
5. Then coat the potatoes thoroughly in it and season well with salt and pepper.
6. Put the potatoes with the mixture in a baking tray and grill them until they roast a bit, so the outside it crispy and the inside is soft. Five min before end of cooking, sprinkle over the lemon juice and return to the oven.
7. Serve with the parsley scattered over.

7. Servir con el perejil picado por encima.

Last October I posted a note in Orange colour and now I am happy to confirm that Pantone already choose the colour of the year 2012 being Tangerine Tango 17-1463 TCX. This colour is vibrant and full of notes to combine with.
This is the Pantone official site http://www.pantone.com/pages/pantone/category.aspx?ca=88 where you can read more about, although I also create my Trend Board (Fashion & Home) to inspire all of you :-)

The Right Moment

Today, just before I start my food treatment I saw this picture.... Then I thought: "In Photography, if you have a good eye and attention to detail, you know when it is the Right Moment to click, that moment will never wait for us".

Healthy and Yammi food

One of the things I like of UK is that you have access to many different types of Cuisine and today I decided to treat myself with some sushi and Indian bajies, which apart of being yammi there are also healthy option. It was really colourful :-)

Sushi and Indian cuisine are as well as with Spanish and Italian, my faves so far. And here are so accessible, even in supermarkets! mmmmm delicious!!
There are no many sushi restaurants around in this area so I have to keep an eye on the supermarkets or do it myself. For Indian food, instead, we all good provided, having the best Finest Indian take-away in the county (and my favorite so far) SURMA http://www.surmatakeaway.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=5&Itemid=2 well managed with Oli Khan a superior chef, my specialty is one of the Oli´s: BAHAR CHICKEN SILASALA (highly recommended).
Having said we have more than 8 Indian Restaurant just in only one street, so plenty to taste. (I think I might need another post to describe any of them).

Bon apetit!  or as Indian say: āp kā khānā svādiṣṭa ho! :-)
